Walking into Toyin, the first thing that hits you is the warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff greets you like family, making you feel comfortable and at ease. It’s clear that this place doesn’t just serve food; it serves a piece of Nigerian culture, prepared with care and attention to detail.

One of the standout dishes at Toyin is the jollof rice. This iconic Nigerian dish, often referred to as "party rice" due to its presence at every celebration, is a fan favorite here. The spice levels are adjustable, so you can tailor each dish to your taste, whether you prefer something mild or full of heat.

  • Stopped by for some amala and ewedu. It was the end of the day so they were out of a few things but service was friendly. Restaurant is small but clean and prices are decent. The amala was quite tasty and the meat was not too tough as is typical with most Naija spots.

  • It was my first time trying Toyin. The African man was very friendly & helpful with my selection. I was sadly too late to try the puff puff or moi moi (sold out) I ordered the jollof rice with fish & dodo. It was delicious & not too spicy. I will come back again to explore the menu & try the well known puff puff & more.

  • Toyin was a complete pleasure to eat in. The staff is very friendly and ready to introduce you to authentic Nigerian cuisine. Everyone in the restaurant was Nigerian and they said this was their favorite place to go. The prices were very reasonable and you get a large helping of food. I'm not entirely sure what I ate because a nice Nigerian gentleman behind ordered for me, but it was a spicy spinach and melon seed stew with flavors I can't really compare to anything else. The fufu that you eat with it was to die for. The tilapia was also delicious. However, be aware that it is not deboned if you order it if you don't eat much fish. I can't wait to try more Nigerian food! I recommend that everyone should come and try Toyin- Nigerian Cuisine.
